you will need:
checkers; Sparkles;
go ahead and define those now if you don't already have them.
1. Open up the picture you want to use. I'm using a horizontal picture but you can you use either horizontal or vertical.
2. If your picture is not already b&w.. go to image>adjustments>desaturate. It should now look like this.
3. I'm going to add an orb or two. For orbs use this tutorial. I'm making my orb 450 px.
4. Place the orb where ever it looks good. I put mine over her shirt. see here.
5. Make a new layer above the orbs. Set it to overlay and color to white or a lighter color off your color pallete. You should get something like this.
6. Because the brush looks awkward i'm going to shape it up a bit by erasing parts of it. If you're doing the same make sure the eraser looks like this.
7. Should look like this now.
8. Now we're going to use the sparkles brush. Make a new layer and change the color to white. Place it on the new layer over the checkers. like this.
9. For the text I'm using the sign in the pattern of the text. Like I did in this sign.
10. To do that you need to define it as a pattern. Edit>Define Pattern. Click ok.
11. Add a text box to the bottom of the sign and type your site name. Double click your text layer.
12. Go to Drop Shadow and match these settings.
13. Go to Pattern and select your sign in the pattern box. Move it around until you find where the two brushes are and the color orbs are. You can change the size if needed.
14. You should have this.
15. You can add some other little brushes to the sign behind the text. Make sure the new layer is below your text layer. like so.
